What is Sudoku?

Sudoku is a logic-based number puzzle. The goal is to fill a 9×9 grid with digits from 1 to 9, following three simple rules:

  1. Each row must contain every digit from 1 to 9 without repetition.
  2. Each column must contain every digit from 1 to 9 without repetition.
  3. Each 3×3 box (there are nine of them) must contain every digit from 1 to 9 without repetition.

The puzzle starts with some numbers already filled in (called "givens" or "clues"). Your task is to use logic and deduction to fill in the remaining cells. A well-designed Sudoku has exactly one unique solution reachable without guessing.
